LDSC Doubles Tournament June 2024

Evan & Stephen Triumph

LDSC helds its annual Doubles Tournament as a round robin event this year to provide plenty of action for the parricipating teams. After three rounds the result hung on the match between Evan and Stephen against Glen and Thomas. This produced some excellent squash but the match changed when Glen pulled up with a leg injury. He decided to continue, looking after the back left of the court. Thomas did a superb job covering the remaining three quarters but they narrowly lost 17-15 in the deciding set.

One picture shows action from their match. The other ome shows Angie Simms having presented the Chris Simms Trophy to the winners with Glen and Thomas resplendent in their LDSC shirts holding the Pete Hilliard Trophy.

Following entry fees, donations and costs, LDSC were able to donate £100 to the Keech Hospice in memory of Chris and Pete.
