LDSC Team – Beds League Results

LDSC vs Bulls 2 on 21st October away

Despite battling hard the team suffered a 4-1 loss against Bulls 2.

At 5 Jummy played well but again suffered a 5-0 loss.

At 4 Tim played really well to go up in the third and lead 2-0. Unfortunately he ran out of energy and lost 3-2.

At 3 Captain Tom was 2-0 down but staged a tremendous fight back, , eventually losing 18-16 in the fifth.

At 2 Michael battled hard but lost 3-0.

At 1 Glen lost very few points in a dominanant 3-0 win.

So another 4-1 loss but the team now have two home games after the half term break. 

LDSC vs Club Towers 4 on 14th October at home 

The Winter League kicked off with a spirited home fixture for Luton and Dunstable Squash Club (LDSC) against a well-prepared Club Towers 4 side. From the very first serve, it was evident that the competition had stepped up a gear this season. With LDSC in a rebuilding phase, every player knew they had to dig deep—and they did.

Match 5 – Jimmy:

Jimmy stepped onto the court with understandable nerves. Despite flashes of his known quality, he couldn’t quite find his rhythm and went down 0:3. A tough start, but we know there’s more to come from him.

Match 4 – Tim:

Tim came out firing, taking the first game with confidence. However, a dip in fitness seemed to catch up with him, and he dropped the next three games to lose 1:3. A promising start nonetheless.

Match 3 – Thomas (Captain):

Thomas found himself quickly trailing 0:2 but showed great resilience to claw back the third game and push hard in the fourth. Despite the 1:3 loss, it was a captain’s performance full of grit and determination.

Match 2 – Michael:

Facing a strong opponent, Michael had the biggest challenge of the night. He battled hard and sold his 0:3 loss well, showing heart and composure throughout.

Match 1 – Glen:

With the team needing a lift, Glen delivered. After a strong start, he briefly lost focus and found himself 1:2 down. A timely reminder from the captain reignited his fire, and he stormed back to win 3:2, salvaging valuable points and pride for LDSC.

Final Result: LDSC 1 – Club Towers 4

While not the dream start to the season, LDSC showed character and camaraderie. The team remains upbeat and committed to giving every opponent a good game. The season is long, and we’re ready to bounce back stronger.
